RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Patient ratio of 1:6 during days, nights, and weekends
• Every other weekend (EOW) requirement
• Floating to other units is expected at times with this position
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• BLS certification required
• CPI certification preferred
• Meditech charting system experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Care for adult and geriatric patients on a 22-bed unit
• Daily census of approximately 20 patients
• Skills include accessing/managing ports, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, central line blood draws, chest tube management, colostomy/ileostomy care, feeding tube management, heparin administration, high flow nasal cannula, insulin management, isolation precautions, PCA management, peripheral line care, phlebotomy, PICC line management, pre/post hemodialysis management, IV management, telemetry monitoring, tracheostomy care, and wound care/wound vac
• Work on dedicated education unit focused on teaching new graduate nurses
• Holiday requirement: work one holiday if one falls in assignment, work one if two fall in assignment, work two if three fall in assignment
• Zero tolerance policy for THC - medical marijuana cards not accepted
• Fit testing required with clean shave policy
• Must not have worked permanently for this organization within the past 24 months
