Respiratory Therapist Job in Charleston, SC

MUSC Health - Shawn Jenkins Children's Hospital in Charleston, SC is hiring a Registered Respiratory Therapist for pediatric and neonatal diagnostics. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning May 11, 2026.

Position Details:

• Work 3x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM with holiday rotation
• Every other weekend requirement
• No on-call responsibilities
• No floating required to sister facilities
• May float within scope depending on experience
• Facility allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks for guaranteed hours
• Block schedule accommodations possible with prior approval but not guaranteed

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience
• Pediatric, Neonatal, and Infant experience required
• RRT certification, BLS, PALS, and NRP required at time of start
• South Carolina RRT license must be in hand at time of start
• NBRC and SC RCP (South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider) licenses accepted
• All RTO must be included at time of submission
• First-time travelers accepted

What to Expect:

• 72 hours of orientation; modules are non-billable, averaging 4 hours completed pre-start
• Epic charting system; Epic experience preferred
• Scrub color: Caribbean Blue
• During hurricane season (June–November), may be assigned to emergency response teams

Compensation:

Weekly pay of $2,203.20
