Job Details:

• Work 5x8 hour shifts with rotating call responsibilities
• Call rotation between 2 RNs covering Monday, Tuesday, Friday-Sunday one week and Wednesday-Thursday the following week
• Call coverage limited to general surgery and emergency c-sections
• Alternative schedules of 4x10s or 3x12s may be considered
• Must have circulating experience in operating room
• 1-2 years of nursing experience required
• Travel experience highly preferred
• Must report to Shannon Medical Center in San Angelo for first day orientation, then resume contract at Big Spring location
• 40 hours of orientation provided
• Patient ratio of 1:1 during days
• Work with patients of all age groups including adolescents, adults, and pediatrics
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• Must be proficient in Epic charting system
• Weekend coverage required with call responsibilities
• Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Daily census of approximately 4 patients
• Work in 4-room operating suite
• Skills required include general surgery procedures, laparoscopic cases, Da Vinci surgical system experience, and various surgical specialties
