Pharmacist Job in Tucson, AZ

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Pharmacist for a 91-day travel assignment at Northwest Houghton in Tucson, AZ. You will work a 7 nights on / 7 nights off schedule, 8:00 PM to 7:00 AM, Wednesday through Tuesday. This is a nights-only position with no on-call responsibilities.

What You'll Do:

• Safely and accurately distribute pharmaceutical agents to patients of all ages in an inpatient acute hospital setting
• Mix IV admixtures and nutritional supplements using sterile compounding techniques
• Collaborate with physicians on drug selection and dosing recommendations
• Provide medication education to nursing staff, patients, and physicians
• Maintain narcotic accountability and report adverse drug reactions
• Participate in medication safety initiatives and patient profile management
• Use the Cerner EMR system to document and manage patient records
• Work independently while meeting multiple project deadlines

Required Qualifications:

• Current Arizona Pharmacist License
• ACLS and BLS certifications
• Minimum 2 years recent hospital pharmacist staffing experience
• Inpatient acute hospital experience
• Sterile compounding experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Board certification and/or accredited pharmacy residency

Important Details:

• No 48-hour guarantee or blocked scheduling available
• Must be available to work recognized holidays
• Position involves considerable video display and keyboard use
• Expect irregular hours and frequent interruptions

Compensation: $3,358 per week. Assignment begins February 2, 2026.
