Job Details:

• Monday through Friday schedule with the unit typically finishing by 7:00-8:00 PM
• Required to work 2 weekend call shifts and an average of 1 shift per week from 11:00 AM to 7:45 PM
• Primary base assignment in a 7-room inpatient/outpatient operating unit with the ability to float to the main 26-room OR when needed
• Must be able to scrub; Da Vinci XI experience is required
• Must be able to circulate and/or scrub posterior eye and eye trauma cases
• Perform scrub and/or circulating duties across a wide range of surgical specialties including:
  - General surgery: hernias, appendectomies, cholecystectomies, Nissen fundoplications, PEG and GI procedures
  - Colorectal: open and laparoscopic bowel resections, some robotic
  - Gynecology: oncology and benign cases, open, laparoscopic and robotic, D&C, hysteroscopy, LEEP, and tubals
  - Urology: cystoscopy, stents, TURB, TURP, PERCs, HoLEPs, open/laparoscopic/robotic nephrectomies and cystectomies, gender affirmation with phalloplasty
  - Breast: biopsies, mastectomies with nodes, mastectomies with reconstruction
  - Eye: plastics, cataracts, and vitrectomies (approximately 3 times per month)
  - Brachytherapy: assisting with device insertion
  - Plastics: typically with breast or gender affirmation cases
  - Uro-Gynecology: slings and anterior/posterior repair
  - Robotics: primarily urology and gynecology, some bariatric
• Float to main OR as needed within skill set when unit is overstaffed or rooms end early
• Main OR services include orthopedics, vascular, ENT, general oncology, transplant, neurosurgery, thoracic, cardiac, and trauma
