About this role

Renown Regional Medical Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join our respiratory care services team in Reno, Nevada. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning June 29, 2026.

Position Details

  • Work 3x12 hour rotating shifts with varied shift times and days of the week
  • 36 guaranteed hours per week
  • Weekly pay: $2,233.80

Your Role

You will perform respiratory therapy procedures per protocol and physician orders for patients across all age groups, from newborn to geriatric. Your primary work environment will be critical care units, adult general care, and pediatric general care within a Level 1 trauma center. You will assess patients, develop and implement care plans, modify protocols as needed, and maintain accurate documentation of all patient records and department logs. You are expected to provide excellent patient experience through clear communication, education, and responsive service.

Requirements

  • Allied Health Professional credential as Respiratory Therapist
  • 2+ years of acute care respiratory therapy experience
  • RRT license (Registered Respiratory Therapist)
  • Nevada State License
  • Nevada Point of Care Analyst license (required prior to start)
  • AHA BLS certification (required prior to start)
  • ACLS certification (required prior to start)

Additional Expectations

You may be required to float to other departments based on organizational needs and your competency level. The schedule includes weekends, holidays, and call shifts determined by departmental needs. You may be asked to work major holidays and pick up one additional shift during the schedule period. Call requirements will be discussed during your interview.

This position operates in an extremely busy and fast-paced environment consistent with Level 1 trauma center volume and demands. You will work collaboratively with the respiratory care team to support patient outcomes and departmental operations.
