Med Surg RN Job in Midland, MI

You will work as a Registered Nurse in Medical Surgery at MyMichigan Health in Midland, Michigan. This is a 91-day travel assignment with a start date of June 22, 2026.

Assignment Details:

• Schedule: 3 shifts of 12 hours each on nights, every other weekend rotation
• Weekly pay: $2,073.60
• No on-call responsibilities
• You must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility

Your Role:

You will provide direct patient care to medical oncology patients with cancer diagnoses, medical step-down patients, and general medical overflow. Your responsibilities include nursing assessment, medication administration, treatments, responding to call lights, assisting with transfers, and responding to alarms. You will assess patient needs regularly and provide skilled nursing services according to the physician-authorized plan of care. You will evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans and patient conditions, make suggestions, and participate in updating or revising care plans. You will process physician and provider orders accurately, completely, and in a timely manner, and follow up regarding medication changes and order clarifications.

Required Qualifications:

• Active Michigan nursing license with LARA and/or Nursys verification
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg experience
• Oncology experience required
• Comfort taking step-down patients
• BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications
• Skills checklist current within one year
• Supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior travel work history
• Epic EMR experience

Basic knowledge of cancer pathophysiology and the ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care are essential for this position.
