Med Surg RN Job in Memphis, TN

Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 48 hours per week in medical surgical/telemetry unit
• Team nursing ratios with goal of 1:5 patient ratio (discuss specific ratios during interview)
• On-call and weekend coverage as needed
• Care for adults and geriatrics with 42-bed daily census
• Patient diagnoses include post-op orthopedic, GI, bariatric, CHF, AKI-CKI, hypo-hyperglycemia management
• Handle bariatric, GI, and orthopedic procedures
• Titrate heparin as needed for stable patients (no drips)
• Float to like units and campuses within 20-mile radius when required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Must have IV start skills
• 2 years of recent nursing experience required (3+ years preferred)
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Travel experience required
• Large hospital experience required
• Must have completed at least one prior travel assignment
• ADN acceptable (BSN only required for specific units)
• EPIC experience preferred
• Must work 2 of 3 holidays if Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's fall during assignment
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions
• Must live at least 100 miles from facility
• Active RN license or NLC compact license required
