Opportunity:

RN - PCU Stepdown

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM or night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Patient ratios of 1:4-5 nurses to patients
• Every other weekend requirement
• Every third holiday requirement
• No call or standby requirements
• Floating to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed
• Care for adults and geriatrics with cardiac, nephrology, stroke, diabetes, and continuous EEG monitoring conditions
• Required to titrate drips including Cardizem, beta blockers, and seizure medications
• Work on 35-bed unit with nurse aids/patient care techs at 1:10 or 2:20 ratios
• First week onboarding followed by 1-2 days floor orientation
• Must maintain residence outside 50-mile radius and cannot work for CommonSpirit facilities
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS
• Must pass 90% open book skills exam during orientation
• Artificial nails prohibited - removal required or contract termination
• Driver's license required for distance verification
• Use EPIC charting system
• BSN not required but nursing license required for submission
