Pediatric Respiratory Therapist Job in Indianapolis, IN

IU Health Riley Hospital for Children is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 91-day travel assignment beginning June 1, 2026. You will work 4x12 hour night shifts with every other weekend required.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care across PICU, NICU, and pediatric units, with primary placement in L&D
• Manage ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP systems, and aerosol therapy for neonates, infants, and pediatric patients
• Perform tracheostomy care, suctioning, and medication administration
• Interpret ABGs and support ventilator weaning protocols
• May float to IU Health North Hospital as needed
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays

Required Qualifications

• Allied Health Professional degree from a CoARC-accredited program and regionally accredited by CHEA
• Minimum 18 months respiratory therapy experience required; 2+ years PICU experience required
• Children's hospital experience within the last 3 years
• Active Indiana State RRT License
• ACLS, BLS, and NBRC RRT certification
• NRP certification required for L&D placement (may be obtained after offer)
• PALS preferred
• Two supervisor references required

Preferred Skills

• Charting system experience with Cerner
• Experience with pediatric critical care protocols

Compensation and Assignment Details

You will receive $3,144.96 weekly. Your home unit will be assigned upon arrival based on facility needs (NICU, PICU, or Peds). First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
