PACU - Post Anesthesia Care

Opportunity:

RN - PACU

Job Details:

• Care for ICU higher acuity patients in PACU as boarders
• Manage patients waiting for beds greater than their recovery time as boarders
• Pediatric experience required
• ICU background and acuity experience required with SICU, Transplant ICU, Neuro ICU, or mixed-acuity ICU
• Must be comfortable managing ventilators, vasoactive drips, and invasive monitoring
• Experience with rapid deterioration and escalation situations required
• Prior PACU exposure necessary with understanding of anesthesia recovery and airway vigilance
• Kidney transplant post-operative experience required including strict I&O monitoring and urine output trends
• Neuro IR procedure recovery experience required including thrombectomy and aneurysm coiling patients
• Bariatric patient post-operative care experience required with airway risk management
• Must demonstrate strong prioritization and multitasking abilities in high-stress situations
• Required certifications: BLS Certification, BLS (AHA)
• Charting system: EPIC
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions or exceptions
• 14 days written cancellation notice required
• No call off policy in effect
• BSN not required
• Acute care setting
