Echo Technologist - Echo Tech Cardiac Imaging

Job Details:

• Perform a variety of cardiac ultrasound procedures requiring independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative
• Create technically diagnostic exams for interpretation by a cardiologist or radiologist under the direction of a physician
• Assist cardiologists or appropriate physicians during invasive ultrasound procedures
• Provide technically diagnostic quality exams for physician interpretation in a timely manner
• Review order requisitions for pertinent information, special requests, and correct procedures as ordered
• Complete documentation on patient exams and ensure appropriate exam charges are processed
• Maintain medical supplies and required stock items in all rooms
• Prepare and clean patient exam rooms and all equipment necessary for patient exams
• Implement clinical protocols and policies
• On-call requirement of approximately 1 week every 5th or 6th week with ability to switch with other Echo Techs with supervisor approval
• One hospital holiday rotation per year, alternating year to year
• Degree or certificate from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education accredited sonography program required
• Certification in cardiac ultrasound by the ARDMS or CCI required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Must maintain current NH State License and appropriate credentials
• Position requires a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 35 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
