Registered Nurse - ICU @ Cabell Huntington Hospital

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• 13-week assignment with 3x12 hour rotating days and nights schedule
• Self-scheduling available with rotation schedule determined by manager (no specific cadence - could be monthly, bi-weekly, or occasional swaps)
• Never swaps within a couple days or within the same week
• 2:1 patient ratio for days, nights, and weekends
• Float to like units as required
• 3 weekend shifts per contract required
• 12 hours of orientation provided
• One pre-approved time off allowed
• 1 year of nursing experience required
• Past critical care experience required
• Travel experience preferred
• Cerner charting system experience highly preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS
• Preferred certifications: PALS, TNCC
• Care for adult and geriatric patients in 20-bed ICU with daily census of 20
• Extensive critical care skills required including ventilator management, arterial line management, central line care, vasoactive drip titration, and post-surgical care
• Local candidates within 50 miles not accepted
• Travel pairs not accepted for this position
• Must complete lab work within 72 hours of contract signing
• Non-billable modules required during orientation and annually
