RN - Infusion

Job Details:

• Minimum 2 years of recent relevant experience required
• Experience with Epic charting system required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Care for adult patient populations
• Conduct patient and family assessments encompassing physiological, spiritual, and emotional areas
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to coordinate and adjust daily patient care plans
• Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, continuous infusions, and IV push medications
• Manage and access ports, PICC lines, and central lines including blood draws and line care
• Perform phlebotomy and manage infusion pump operations
• Monitor and manage chemotherapy side effects and communicate abnormal lab values
• Handle and dispose of cytotoxic spills and body fluids post-chemotherapy
• Administer antibiotics, antiemetics, corticosteroids, hormonal therapy, and intravenous hydration
• Support patients with symptom management including nausea, neuropathy, edema, and constipation
• Document all treatment information accurately in the patient's electronic health record
• Interdisciplinary support available including interpretation services, social services, and pharmacy
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA or ARC), ONS Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Provider Card (must be obtained within 90 days)
• Valid California RN state license required
• 16 orientation hours provided
