Job Details:

• Work under the administrative direction of the Chief Therapist and clinical direction of the Radiation Oncologist
• Must be able to work independently
• Weekend shifts required as needed; holidays required if needed
• On-call status to be determined
• Administer prescribed radiation treatments, set necessary treatment factors, and monitor both patient and control panel during treatment
• Prepare patients in exam rooms and assist the Radiation Oncologist with medical examinations, treatments, and simulations
• Prepare rooms and equipment for treatment and simulations
• May inject dye into skin of patient as a marker with demonstrated appropriate training and skills
• May administer contrast media retrograde into the urinary bladder during simulation
• Perform all necessary equipment calibration as prescribed by the Radiation Safety Officer in accordance with therapy license conditions and regulatory requirements
• Observe and maintain radiation safety measures for patients and personnel
• Record all patient doses, gather confidential patient history, document patient reactions, and report findings to the radiologist
• Update patient examination history files, document unusual conditions or limitations, and complete daily log book entries
• Perform scheduling, consultation, and billing procedures as required
• 2+ years of current Radiation Therapy experience required
• Oncology experience required
• VARIAN TRUEBEAM experience required
• ARIA (Treatment Record and Management) experience required
• Previous travel experience strongly preferred
• Must have own vehicle
• Required certifications: ARRT (active), BLS (AHA), New Hampshire Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy License (NH MIRT) or equivalent
• New Hampshire state license required
• No more than 5 days of requested time off will be accepted for the duration of the assignment
• Must be willing to work at least one holiday block if scheduled
