SLP Job in San Luis Obispo, CA

French Hospital Medical Center is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for an acute care assignment in San Luis Obispo, California. This is a travel position offering direct patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Position Details

• Schedule: 5 days per week, 8-hour day shifts
• Shift options: Tuesday through Saturday or Sunday through Thursday
• Assignment duration: 91 days
• Start date: June 22, 2026
• Weekly pay: $2,365.20

Your Responsibilities

• Provide speech-language pathology services to patients in an acute care setting
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary medical team
• Document patient care and clinical outcomes using the Cerner charting system
• Assess, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing disorders

Requirements

• Valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist required at time of submission
• BLS Certification required
• Experience in acute care preferred

Assignment Terms

The hospital reserves the right to cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, or up to 3 shifts for assignments shorter than 13 weeks. You will work in a collaborative acute care environment where your expertise in speech-language pathology directly impacts patient outcomes.
