CVOR RN Job in Phoenix, AZ

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Cardiothoracic Operating Room (CVOR) at Banner Estrella Medical Center, supporting advanced cardiovascular surgical procedures. This is a 4x10 day shift position for an 89-week contract starting June 22, 2026.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assist physicians with cardiothoracic surgical cases, including cardiopulmonary bypass management, trans-esophageal echocardiogram studies, cardiac output devices, and vascular interventions
• Perform and interpret cardiac and vascular lab tests as needed for patient care
• Complete comprehensive patient assessments covering physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, and cultural needs
• Develop individualized plans of care using assessment data and multidisciplinary team collaboration
• Provide direct patient care through coordination, delegation, and supervision of healthcare team members
• Document all nursing activities legibly, timely, and in compliance with organizational policy
• Supervise and direct licensed and non-licensed personnel
• Participate in professional development, education, orientation, and mentoring activities
• Maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to cardiothoracic nursing

Requirements:

• Current RN license in Arizona and BLS certification
• Minimum one year of acute care hospital experience with specialty experience within the past 12 months
• One year of operating room and/or cardiovascular or vascular experience preferred
• New operating room nurses must complete the Perioperative Academy curriculum and Banner RN Perioperative Services Competency Tool within the first year
• Bachelor's degree and professional certification preferred

You will earn $2,718 per week. This role includes call requirements and varied scheduling as needed by the facility.
