Sterile Processing Technician Job in Mechanicsburg, PA

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is hiring a Sterile Processing Technician for a 91-day travel assignment at Central - UPMC West Shore in Mechanicsburg, PA. This is a 3x12 rotating shift role offering $1,351 per week.

As a Sterile Processing Technician, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of surgical instrumentation and equipment. Your daily responsibilities include:

• Decontamination, cleaning, inspection, assembly, packaging, and sterilization of reusable surgical instruments and equipment
• Manual and mechanical cleaning and decontamination of reusable equipment, instruments, and supplies
• Preparation and assembly of surgical trays and equipment following established tray listings for issue, storage, or further processing
• Monitoring, reading, documenting, and interpreting parameters for all types of sterilizers to ensure proper function
• Troubleshooting decontamination and sterilization equipment as needed
• Assessment of supplies required for prescribed standard surgical procedures and setup of case carts
• Maintenance of inventory, collection, disassembly, inspection, cleaning, disinfection, and reassembly of instrument trays and patient care equipment
• Adherence to department policies concerning decontamination, sterile processing, infection control, and safety

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of sterile processing experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• CBSPD or IAHCSMM certification required
• PA Act 34 required
