ED Registered Nurse Job in Greensboro, NC

Cone Health – The Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department in Greensboro, NC. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning July 13, 2026.

Position Details:

• Work 3 consecutive 12-hour night shifts per week, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Patient ratio of 4–5 patients per nurse
• No call or on-call responsibilities
• 2 weekend shifts or 4 weekend days required per 6-week period
• Holiday shifts as needed
• May float to other Cone Health campuses as needed

Requirements:

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2 years Emergency Department experience
• ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications required
• EPIC electronic health record system experience
• Pass mandatory EKG exam (2 attempts allowed)
• Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
• Complete compliance modules during 24-hour orientation (2–4 hours, non-billable time)
• Full compliance file required by 12:00 PM EST on Wednesday prior to start date

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPI, PALS, and TNCC certifications
• Previous Charge RN experience
• Level 2 Trauma Center experience

About the Role:

You will provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department that handles approximately 180 patient visits per day across a 63-room setting. You will care for adult patients presenting with various emergency conditions. First-time travelers are welcome. Orientation includes 24 hours of structured support to ensure your success.

Compensation:

Weekly pay is $2,047.68.
