About this role
WVU Thomas Health – Thomas Memorial Hospital in South Charleston, West Virginia is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 91-day travel assignment beginning August 27, 2026.
Role Overview
You will perform approximately 12–15 nuclear medicine scans and studies per day in a four-room department equipped with 2 Siemens E-Cam and 2 Philips Brightview scanners. Common imaging includes cardiac studies, HIDA scans, gastric emptying, lung scans, thyroid uptake, and tilts. You will work under the supervision of the Lead Tech with an in-house radiologist available. No floating or coverage of other departments is required.
Schedule & Compensation
This position offers a 5×8 rotating shift structure. Your primary schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with rotating weekends and call duties. Weekend call coverage occurs every fourth weekend (Friday 4:30 PM through 7:00 AM Sunday, with full 24-hour coverage Saturday and Sunday). You will also have one call day per week when not on weekend rotation. Weekly pay is $3,168.
Required Skills & Experience
You must have experience with IV starts and EKG performance. You will work with Meditech Expanse EMR and AGFA IMPAX PACS systems.
Required Credentials & Compliance
- ARRT or NMTCB certification
- Certified Nuclear Cardiology Technologist (NMTCB-NCT)
- BLS certification
- West Virginia State Licensure
- Valid unexpired driver's license (copy required at submission)
- Radiation badge (provided by agency)
Dress Code & Equipment
Black-colored scrubs are required—no embroidery, no t-shirts, scrub jacket only if needed for warmth. No Crocs with holes or open backs. Scrubs are not provided by the facility.
