CVICU RN Job in Gainesville, FL

HCA Florida North Florida Hospital is seeking an RN for its 24-bed CVICU unit. You will work three 12-hour night shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, totaling 36 hours weekly. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning September 21, 2026.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a critical care environment using a primary RN model
• Manage patient ratios and collaborate with unit clerks and technical support
• Administer vasoactive infusions, manage arterial lines, and maintain invasive central lines
• Provide ventilator management and monitoring
• Assist with procedures including chest tube placement, central line placement, bronchoscopy, and percutaneous tracheostomy
• Float to the critical care unit as needed
• Operate Alaris pumps and Level 1 Rapid Transfusion equipment
• Document patient care using the Meditech system

Requirements

• Valid RN license
• Critical care competencies and experience
• Ability to work every other weekend or three weekend shifts per month

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ECMO patients (the unit currently runs 3+ ECMO patients)
• Cardiothoracic surgery experience
• Cardiology background
• Experience with Impella-Assisted High-Risk PCI and Cardiogenic Shock programs

Royal blue scrubs are required per facility dress code. Weekly pay is $1,898.
