Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Neuro

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 36 hours guaranteed per week
• 13-week assignment length with option to extend up to 26 weeks
• Every other weekend required (Saturday and Sunday)
• At least one major holiday required (summer or winter holidays)
• Float to Med Surg and Progressive units as required
• Patient ratio 6:1 (estimates, not guarantees)
• 17-bed neurology unit caring for medical and surgical neuro patients
• Work with patients including Parkinson's, stroke, lumbar cases (no trauma)
• Must have charge experience OR be willing to learn charge duties
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
• Neuro and stroke experience highly preferred
• Required certifications: BLS from AHA, NIH (can be completed at orientation)
• Current RN license eligible for Missouri licensure
• Black scrubs required
• Work with customary equipment including IV pumps
• EPIC electronic medical record system
• Night shift orientation occurs on day shift
• Must be available entire week for orientation
• Up to 5 days time off automatically approved per 13-week period
• Flu vaccination required November 1-April 1
