Interventional Radiology Technologist

Job Details:

• Work 5 days per week with 8-hour shifts
• Full-time position in a 650-bed inpatient/outpatient hospital
• Experience in vascular and neuro required
• Operate fluoroscopy, computed tomography, laser, and ultrasonography equipment during vascular and neuroradiology angiographic and interventional procedures
• Perform circulating and scrubbing roles during procedures
• Assist with patient teaching and patient care within scope of practice
• Manage inventory and coordinate scheduling
• Help develop and implement systems to ensure smooth and efficient patient flow in Interventional labs
• Ensure completed exams are scanned and stored correctly in PACS
• Troubleshoot and report equipment malfunctions to appropriate personnel
• Adapt patient assessment, treatment, and care methods to accommodate unique patient needs
• Demonstrate flexibility by working other shifts as needed
• 1 year of training/experience in special procedures/IR required
• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or equivalent required
• Basic computer experience required
• Required certifications: Vascular Interventional Radiography (VI) by ARRT, BLS (AHA only)
• ACLS preferred
• Current Texas state licensure (MRT by TMB) required
