CVOR First Assist Job in Atlanta, GA

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a CVOR First Assistant for a 182-day travel assignment. You will work a day shift schedule on a 3x12 basis, with call required one day per week and one weekend every four weeks, subject to departmental needs. Weekend coverage is only required during designated call periods.

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide first assist support in cardiac, vascular, endovascular, and thoracic procedures
• Float within facility scope of practice and to Main OR as needed
• Maintain 1:1 patient ratio
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Chart using the Epic system

Qualifications:

• Minimum two years of experience as a Certified Surgical First Assistant; first-time travelers accepted
• Current BLS certification
• Current CSFA certification (NBSTSA or NCCSA also accepted)
• Demonstrated experience in cardiac, vascular, endovascular, and thoracic procedures
• Heart transplant experience highly preferred
• Epic charting system experience preferred

• Duration: 182 days
• Weekly pay: $2,669.76
• Shift: 3x12 days

Important Requirements:

• Privileging process required prior to start, approximately 120 days from signature
• Pre-application fee of $125 required for privileging
• You must submit core items and complete labs within 48 hours of contract signing
• Maximum seven days RTO allowed; no holiday RTO accepted
• Full compliance required to start on time
• Clinical screening and manager review required
