<p><strong>RN Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>RN - Med Surg Tele</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM<br>• Every other weekend requirement (2 weekends per 4-week schedule)<br>• Holiday requirement for Christmas, New Year&#39;s, and Thanksgiving (work 2 days and an eve or 2 eves and a day)<br>• Patient ratio of 1:5 on 49-bed telemetry unit<br>• Must pass dysrhythmia exam within two attempts with 80% score prior to contract signing<br>• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS<br>• Must have experience reading basic telemetry strips and interpreting strips (required to sign at least once per shift)<br>• Experience with CVA, TIA, and total joint replacement preferred<br>• Cerner experience recommended as orientation is only one shift<br>• Navy blue scrub color required<br>• May float to East Campus and possibly PCU if qualified<br>• Care for patients with CHF, respiratory issues, GI conditions, diabetes, post-catheterization, and total joint replacements<br>• Work with equipment including BiPap, CPAP, and breathing treatments<br>• Cancellation policy allows 3 shifts per contract<br>• Self-scheduling used but subject to manager balancing</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive 49-bed cardiac and medical telemetry unit on the third floor, providing specialized care for patients with heart conditions, respiratory issues, and various medical diagnoses. The facility uses Cerner charting systems and maintains a collaborative care model with monitor technicians, nurse aides, charge nurses, and respiratory therapy support.
