About this role

Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center is seeking an Allied Health Professional Special Procedures Technologist for its Interventional Radiology department. You will work in a dedicated neurovascular IR lab performing a range of complex endovascular procedures.

Schedule & Duration

  • 4x10 shift: 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Call requirement: one night per week plus every fourth weekend (Friday 5:00 PM through Monday 6:30 AM)
  • 91-day assignment starting July 27, 2026
  • 2 weeks of orientation (80 hours)

Clinical Responsibilities

You will work exclusively in the neurovascular IR lab, assisting with intracranial thrombectomies, flow diversions, aneurysm coiling, AVM embolization, MMA embolization, and carotid stenting. Patient populations include adults and geriatrics with intracranial aneurysms, intracranial AVMs, carotid stenosis, intracranial large vessel occlusions, and candidates for kyphoplasty and hybrid intracranial aneurysm clipping procedures.

Equipment & Systems

  • Two biplane suites with Siemens ICONO technology
  • Fuji Synapse PACS
  • Brainlab and EPIC Dimensions platforms
  • EPIC and Pyxis unit systems

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience; first-time travelers accepted if experienced
  • ARRT R and BLS certifications required
  • ARRT VI preferred
  • Epic charting system experience required
  • Community hospital experience required
  • Trauma Level II facility experience required
  • Preferred: 3–4 years of neurovascular IR experience

Essential Skills

3D imaging, angioplasty, carotid angiography, carotid stenting, circulating procedures, embolization, endovascular interventions, equipment setup, EVAR, fluoroscopy, interventional radiology, PACS management, sterile technique, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, and vascular closure systems.
