Job Details:

• Implement professional nursing practice centered on patient-centered care and creating a caring environment focused on healing and wellness
• Base nursing practices on evidence and current research, following hospital and department policies and procedures
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments considering culture, age, and developmental level
• Identify patient risk factors and presenting complaints
• Collect objective/quantitative and subjective/qualitative data
• Develop prioritized problem lists based on inter-professional team input
• Design actions and interventions relevant to patients' culture and age
• Implement patient care therapies and procedures with clinical autonomy within scope of practice
• Explain procedures, treatments, and processes to patients and families
• Recognize, respond to, and communicate changes in patient condition appropriately
• Delegate tasks appropriately and oversee team members in patient care activities
• Monitor accuracy and completeness of delegated patient care
• Provide patient and family education based on prioritized problems and comprehension level
• Facilitate patient discharge process and coordinate with Case Management
• Participate in unit-based activities supporting organizational values and priorities
• Engage in quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction, patient falls prevention, and pressure ulcer prevention
• Maintain documentation according to hospital policy and established standards
