About this role
You will work as an RN in the Cardiac Cath Lab at Baptist Healthcare System, Inc. in Paducah, Kentucky. This is a 124-week travel assignment on a 5x8 nights schedule, starting June 29, 2026. Your weekly pay is $3,014.76.
In this role, you will provide direct patient care centered on patient-centered practice and a healing environment. You will perform comprehensive assessments, collect objective and subjective data, and develop prioritized problem lists in collaboration with the inter-professional team. Your responsibilities include:
- Assess patients in accordance with RN scope of practice and hospital policies, considering culture, age, and developmental level
- Identify patient risk factors and presenting complaints
- Design culturally appropriate interventions and implement patient care therapies and procedures with clinical autonomy
- Explain procedures, treatments, and processes to patients and families in clear, accessible language
- Initiate actions to alleviate patient stress and discomfort
- Recognize, respond to, and communicate changes in patient condition promptly
- Conduct ongoing assessment and documentation using the nursing process
- Delegate tasks appropriately and oversee team members to ensure accuracy and completeness of care
- Identify and address patient educational needs
- Facilitate the discharge process and coordinate with Case Management
- Promote positive group dynamics and support a healing environment
- Participate in quality improvement activities, including patient satisfaction, falls prevention, and infection control
- Support unit-based activities aligned with organizational values
