Cath Lab Technologist - Cardiac Cath Lab

Job Details:

• 4-day work week with 10-hour shifts
• Must have Electrophysiology experience
• Prepare the catheterization lab and operate essential equipment including fluoroscopy imaging and digital image acquisition
• Ensure accurate documentation of patient information and hemodynamic measurements
• Maintain stringent aseptic technique and patient safety standards 100% of the time
• Perform daily room checks and stocking of supplies
• Access daily patient schedule and ensure appropriate equipment, supplies, and room configuration for all procedures
• Enter proper patient information into cath lab computer and imaging systems
• Ensure proper procedure documentation, hemodynamic measurements/recording, and ECG recognition
• Set up and operate cath lab equipment including imaging (X-Ray, IVUS, ICE), contrast injector, hemodynamic system, intra-aortic balloon pump, rotational atherectomy, thrombectomy, and left ventricular assist device
• Serve as radiation safety representative for patients and team during X-ray usage
• Support and anticipate physician needs while scrubbing procedures
• Maintain proficiency in access site management
• Support patient transport as appropriate
• Adhere to departmental dress code requirements
• Graduate from an accredited school of Radiology Technology, associate's degree in a healthcare-related field, or acceptable equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• 0-1 year of experience in an acute care setting preferred
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (AHA only)
• One of the following certifications preferred: RCIS, RCES, RCS by CCI; Radiography (R), Cardiac Interventional (CI), Cardiovascular Interventional (CV), or Vascular Interventional (VI) by ARRT; AB or OB/GYN RDMS, AE RDCS, or RVT by ARDMS
• State licensure required - Texas MRT or LMRT by TMB
