NICU RN Job in Charlotte, NC

Opportunity:

RN - NICU

Job Details:

• 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• 36 hours per week only
• Self-scheduling per unit needs
• Patient ratios of 1:2-4
• No call requirement
• Weekend requirement: 3 Fridays, 3 Saturdays, and 3 Sundays per 6-week period
• Float requirement: Peds/PICU/nursery caring for infants up to and including 12 months
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a Level 3 or 4 ICN required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates accepted
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP
• Ventilator experience required
• 24 hours of unit orientation provided
• Scrubs: Navy blue or white
• Patient diagnoses include premature infants (as low as 22 weeks), all types of surgical infants, and hypoxic injury
• Special procedures include therapeutic hypothermia, nitric oxide, UAC/UVC, PCLs, Broviac, trachs, GTT, and ostomys
• Special equipment includes Tecotherm, BCPAP, Ram NC, Alaris IV pumps, Med Fusion for feedings, Servo Vents, HFOV, Baby Leo, and Giraffe
• Unit systems include Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR, and 4P
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Required skills include administration of blood and blood products, antibiotics/antivirals, bubble CPAP, central line blood draw, colostomy/ileostomy management, feedings (bottle, breast, gavage), high flow nasal cannula, IV vasopressors, nitric oxide, sepsis work up, therapeutic hypothermia, tracheostomy care, UAC/UVC, and ventilator management
