Ultrasound Technologist Job in Griffin, GA

Spalding Medical Center is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist for a 10-week night shift assignment. You will work Monday through Friday from 10:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with no weekend or on-call responsibilities. This role offers $2,072 weekly pay and begins June 9, 2026.

Your Responsibilities:

• Perform a wide variety of ultrasound procedures with independent judgment and initiative
• Verify clinician orders and obtain complete clinical histories from patients
• Review ultrasound images to ensure clinically acceptable results
• Respond to emergency situations and maintain life support equipment as needed
• Demonstrate competence in age-appropriate ultrasound techniques
• Use AIDET communication methods when interacting with patients and families
• Complete all studies in RIS before finalizing in PACS
• Maintain quality control logs for probe disinfection and equipment care
• Transport and position patients for procedures

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 1 year of clinical ultrasound experience
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ARDMS (Registered Medical Sonographer) or ARRT-S (ARRT Sonography) certification required
• Trade school diploma in Diagnostic Medical Sonography preferred
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, stressful environment
• Flexibility to adjust work hours to meet department needs
