About this role
You'll work as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist at University of New Mexico Hospital in Albuquerque, providing diagnostic imaging and therapeutic services across a full spectrum of nuclear medicine procedures.
Role and Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic nuclear medicine imaging including cardiac studies, bone scans, HIDA, renograms, liver/spleen imaging, and infection imaging
- Conduct SPECT/CT scans including infection imaging, MIBG, whole body I-123 and I-131 imaging, and Y-90 imaging
- Operate PET/CT scanning including FDG, Dotatate, and PSMA
- Administer therapeutic injections including I-131, Xofigo, and Lutathera
- Perform IV starts, phlebotomy, venous blood draws, and peripheral IV placement and maintenance
- Handle storing, handling, and disposal of radioactive materials per protocol
- Work with 4 general rooms, 1 SPECT/CT, and 2 PET/CT equipment
- Manage both inpatient and outpatient cases for adults and geriatrics; pediatric experience preferred
- Use Cerner charting system and PACS
Schedule and Hours
You'll work 5x8 days with 40 guaranteed hours per week. Minimal on-call requirements include 4:00 PM to 6:00 AM Monday through Friday and 24 hours on weekends. The facility may call off up to 3 times throughout the 13-week assignment.
Requirements
- Current ARRT N or NMTCB certification
- Current ARRT R certification
- Current BLS certification
- New Mexico State License
- CT license required for PET/CT procedures (can be pending with unit assistance)
- PET license preferred
- Minimum 1 year of experience; first-time travelers accepted
- No locals within 100 miles
Assignment Details
This is a 91-day assignment starting June 1, 2026. Weekly pay is $2,640. Minimum contract length is 10 weeks. You'll wear hunter green scrubs.
