PT - Physical Therapist Acute Care

Job Details:

• Work five 8-hour day shifts, Tuesday through Saturday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Treat patients in the Progressive Care Unit or Medical Unit
• Treat patients across age groups including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• At least 6 months of acute care experience within the last couple of years required
• Orthopedic experience preferred; acute care experience required
• Travel experience required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• North Carolina state license required and must be active at time of submission
• BLS certification required
• No local candidates within a 50-mile radius
• Travelers may be floated to any campus within the health system as needed
• Key skills include gait training, therapeutic exercises, patient and family education, vital sign monitoring, assistive and adaptive devices, discharge planning, and plan of care development
• Experience with orthopedic conditions such as total hip and knee replacements, hip fractures, and spinal conditions preferred
• Experience with neurological and cardiac diagnoses such as stroke rehabilitation, Parkinson's disease, CHF, MI, and CABG preferred
