ICU - Intensive Care Unit

Job Details:

• Day shift position working 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM with options for 3x12 or 4x12 scheduling (4x12 preferred)
• Self-scheduling unit with schedules set every 6 weeks
• Patient ratios of 1:2 to 1:3
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call required
• Floating required within scope to meet facility needs between like units
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• 2 years of ICU experience required; first-time travelers accepted with required experience
• South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact RN license required and must be in hand prior to start
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• CRRT experience required
• Charting system: Epic
• Scrub color: Royal Blue
• Free parking available
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics with diagnoses such as respiratory failure, COPD exacerbation, AKI, CHF, NSTEMI, STEMI, and post-TPA administration
• Required skills include blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care and management, CVA/acute stroke management, CVVHD/CRRT, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, PICC line management, pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring, suctioning, and urine output assessment
• Special procedures include bedside bronchoscopies, bedside tracheostomy, moderate sedation, CRRT, kidney transplants, intubation, arterial line placement, Swan Ganz, chest tubes, and central line placements
• Special equipment includes CRRT Prismax, Alaris IV pumps, and Mindray bedside monitors
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and phlebotomy
