About this role

McLeod Regional Medical Center is seeking an RN for a Neurosurgery operating room role focused on endovascular procedures. You will work in a specialized department providing advanced neurological interventions in a collaborative, procedure-driven environment.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Circulate and support endovascular neurosurgical procedures, including large vessel occlusion (LVO) stroke cases and cerebral aneurysm repairs
  • Assess patient needs through history, observation, physical examination, and diagnostic data analysis
  • Plan and deliver individualized nursing care meeting holistic, age-specific patient requirements
  • Execute patient safety initiatives including proper identification, communication, and universal protocol adherence
  • Complete procedural documentation, consent forms, and pre- and post-procedure checklists
  • Reconcile and administer medications per established policies
  • Administer blood and blood products according to protocols
  • Care for patients requiring moderate sedation, point-of-care testing, and contrast injection procedures
  • Perform sheath removal and operate procedural suite equipment
  • Monitor physiological systems and maintain aseptic technique during procedures
  • Provide nursing handoff and bedside reporting
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient privacy standards

Requirements:

  • RN with South Carolina or Multistate nursing license
  • BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and moderate sedation training
  • Mandatory experience in Neuro Interventions, Cath Lab, or Cardiovascular Operating Room circulation
  • ICU experience preferred

Assignment Details:

  • 5x8 Day shift schedule
  • On-call rotation every other week
  • 91-day contract
  • Start date: May 31, 2026
  • Weekly pay: $2,920
