ICU - Intensive Care Unit

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Must have 3 years of recent ICU experience with either neuro or cardiovascular experience - NO EXCEPTIONS
• UNA Dysrhythmia Exam required 24-48 hours prior to acceptance with maximum 2 attempts
• Pass/fail Sim Lab required on Day 1 of orientation
• Work in Surgical ICU (Trauma Neuro Surgery), Medical ICU (Medical Cardiac), or Overflow ICU units
• 32-bed Surgical ICU, 36-bed Medical Cardiac ICU, and 12-bed overflow unit
• Nurse to patient ratios of 1:2 or 1:1 depending on acuity
• Self-scheduling available with manager balancing for unit needs
• Weekend requirements: 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule (night shift weekends are Friday-Saturday, day shift weekends are Saturday-Sunday)
• May have 1 holiday off per assignment
• Float to telemetry with 1:3 or 1:4 ratio as needed, and between all 3 ICU units
• May float to sister facility Mercy Gilbert
• Navy scrubs required
• 1-2 days unit-specific orientation
• Required to titrate drips including Propofol, Fentanyl, Versed, Precedex, Levophed, Vasopressin, and others
• Must interpret own telemetry strips using GE monitors
• Work with Level 1 trauma patients, post-surgical cases, sepsis, COVID, ARDS, and cardiac patients
• Use equipment including Dreager, Hamilton, and Puritan Bennett ventilators
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• May be low censused up to 3 times per contract depending on unit needs
• Charting system: Cerner
• Must live more than 50 miles from facility and cannot have worked for CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facilities within past year
