PTA - Physical Therapist Assistant Inpatient

Job Details:

• No on-call responsibilities
• Every 3rd weekend schedule required
• Required certification: BLS (AHA)
• Active Ohio Physical Therapy Assistant license required
• 1+ years of experience required
• Inpatient rehab and acute care experience preferred
• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of the American Physical Therapy Association
• Skills checklist current to 1 year pertinent to PTA specialty required
• Administer physical modalities and procedures as assigned by the Licensed Physical Therapist under the direction and plan of care per State of Ohio Laws and Rules Regulating the Practice of Physical Therapy
• Assist in multiple areas including Acute Care, Rehabilitation Unit, Transitional Care Unit, Pediatrics, Outpatient, and Wellness Center as assigned
• Demonstrate professional conduct consistent with the Standards of Ethical Conduct for the Physical Therapist Assistant of the American Physical Therapy Association
• Physical requirements include standing, walking, kneeling, bending, running, sitting, lifting up to 50 pounds, and supporting patients
• Additional activities include talking, listening, reaching, handling various equipment, typing, and computer skills
• Strong communication, initiative, listening, leadership, and timeliness skills required
• Ability to multi-task, near visual acuity, and hand-eye coordination required
• Work performed both inside and outside environments
• Possible exposure to animals
