CVOR Technologist Job in Asheville, NC

You'll work as a Certified Surgical Technologist in the CVOR unit at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. This is a 91-day travel assignment with a start date of July 27, 2026. You'll work three 12-hour day shifts per week, earning $2,102.40 weekly.

Role and Responsibilities

• Serve as scrub technologist in a 6-OR CVOR unit located in the Heart Tower building
• Provide scrub and first assist support for complex cardiothoracic and vascular procedures
• Perform in the scrub role with extensive expertise in CVOR cases
• Participate in on-call rotations as assigned
• Float infrequently to other areas as needed

Required Experience and Credentials

• Current CST certification (mandatory, no exceptions)
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum of two prior travel assignments in CVOR
• Extensive CVOR experience with proficiency in the scrub role
• First assist experience and proficiency preferred but not required

Procedures You'll Support

CABG, valve replacement, VAD insertions, TAVR, VATS, lobectomy, pacemaker and AICD insertions, septal myectomy, Ross procedure, EVH, IABP insertions, femoral cannulation, and circulatory arrest cases. All cases require one scrub and one circulator; pump cases also require a first assist or heart holder (RN or CST).
