Med Surg RN Job in Albany, GA

You'll work as a Registered Nurse in the acute Med Surg unit at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, GA. This is a 119-day travel assignment starting May 11, 2026, with three 12-hour day shifts per week, Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The unit is closed weekends and holidays only apply if they fall during the week.

Role Details

• Care for a 14-bed unit with 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratios
• Admit hold patients, overflow medical observation patients, and discharge-pending patients
• Administer medications (IV and PO) and provide basic care
• Manage pain control with PO orders only—no IV drip titration required
• Use MEDITECH charting system
• One CNA is available on the unit
• Charge nurse may take patient assignment
• Potential float to Med Surg if census is low

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year experience in acute care Med Surg setting
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications
• Strict 75-mile radius rule enforced
• BSN not required

Shift & Compensation

You'll earn $2,102.40 per week on a 3x12 day schedule. Typically three shifts of unit and department-specific orientation are provided.

Facility Standards

Dress code requires Caribbean Blue top and bottom, or Caribbean Blue bottom with white top, or all white top and bottom.
