Med Surg RN Job in Cartersville, GA

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Medical Surgical unit at Piedmont Cartersville Medical Center. This is a 56-week travel assignment beginning June 15, 2026, offering $1,684.80 weekly pay on a 3x12 day shift schedule.

Role Requirements

• 3 years of nursing experience required
• Current Georgia or Compact license required at time of submission
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred

Unit Details

• Patient ratio of 6:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Every other weekend schedule required
• No call responsibilities
• No blocked schedule requests accepted
• Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations

Clinical Skills

• Isolation precautions and PPE
• Medical and surgical care
• Nasal cannula and oxygen administration
• Non-invasive airway management
• Peripheral line care and management
• Rapid response and code team participation

Assignment Terms

• Unit accepts first-time travelers
• Holiday work requirements: work 1–2 holidays if they fall during assignment; work 2 out of 3 if three holidays fall during assignment period
• Maximum 7 days RTO per contract
• Orientation hours are non-billable and determined by contract length
• Full compliance required to start on time; all documents due Tuesday prior to start date
