Ultrasound Tech - Ultrasound Tech

Job Details:

• Monday through Thursday 7:45 AM to 5:00 PM (4x8 shifts) and Fridays 7:45 AM to 1:00 PM (1x5 shift)
• No call, float, or weekend requirements
• Minimum 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers will not be accepted
• Travel experience required
• Maternal Fetal Medicine work setting experience required
• Scan 10 to 12 patients per day with a variety of full anatomies, follow-up scans, growths, and dopplers
• Average daily census of 12 visits per day across 6 ultrasound rooms
• Sonographers rotate rooms and utilize a central workspace for working up patients and completing reports
• Perform amniocentesis as the primary special procedure
• Required fetal skills: abdomen, abdominal circumference, bone lengths, cerebellum, ventricles, diaphragm, duodenal atresia/intussusception, fingers/toes, gender, head, and heart
• Required OB/GYN skills: 1st through 3rd trimester, amniotic fluid index, fetal anatomical survey, inter/intra-orbital measurements, multiple pregnancy, placenta previa, and umbilical cord doppler
• Required additional skills: cervical length and vaginal scans
• Preferred skills: high risk OB, obstetrics, and isolation precautions/PPE
• Required certifications: ARDMS OB/GYN and BLS
• Epic and ASOB charting system experience required
• Special equipment includes Samsung HR 9 machines and Trophon for cleaning vaginal probes
• Scrubs not provided; royal blue required
• Patient age groups include adolescents and adults
• 40 hours of orientation with support from full-time sonographers
