NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care

RN - NICU

Job Details:

• 3x12 shift schedule with rotating holidays and weekends
• Must work specific holiday shifts: 12/23, 12/24, 12/26 during the week of 12/20 and 12/27, 12/28, 12/29 during the week of 12/27
• Call required - 12 hours per 4-week schedule
• Patient ratio of 2:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Float required to NAN (Newborn Admission Nurse) or DRAN (Delivery Room Admission Nurse) role or baby module in the Family Center
• 4 weekend shifts per contract (Friday/Saturday/Sunday for day shift - no more than 2 Fridays; Friday/Saturday/Sunday for nights - no more than 2 Sunday nights)
• Full-service Level III NICU caring for extremely low birth weight babies as young as 24 weeks gestation and weighing as little as 500 grams
• Average daily census of approximately 10 babies with a mix of acuity levels
• 3 years of NICU experience required; first-time travelers with Level III or higher NICU experience will be considered
• Active Maryland RN license or Compact RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS and NRP
• STABLE certification preferred
• Charting system: Meditech (preferred experience)
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Self-scheduling unit
