Med Surg RN Job in Portales, NM

You will work as a registered nurse on the medical-surgical unit at Roosevelt General Hospital in Portales, New Mexico. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning June 8, 2026.

Shift and Schedule

• 3 shifts per week, 12-hour night shifts
• Hours: 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM
• Weekly pay: $2,019.60

Your Responsibilities

• Care for both pediatric and adult patients on the medical-surgical unit
• Maintain a typical 5:1 patient ratio
• Assume occasional charge nurse duties as needed
• Collaborate with Avel tele-intensivist support

Required Qualifications

• Current RN licensure
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification

Additional Information

• Bilingual skills are helpful but not required
• This position is classified as a rapid response crisis need
