Telemetry RN Job in Phoenix, AZ

St Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Telemetry unit. You'll work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM on a 3x12 schedule with every third weekend required—4 weekend shifts per 4-week cycle.

Role and Responsibilities

• Manage a patient ratio of 1:4 in a telemetry setting
• Care for patients with medical conditions and secondary psychiatric diagnoses, including those with confusion, dementia, or low cognitive ability
• Perform skills including Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
• Use the Cerner electronic medical record system
• Potential float assignments to ED psychiatric holds or medical/surgical floors
• Participate in holiday coverage based on unit needs

Requirements and Qualifications

• Current RN license
• Level 1 trauma experience required
• Experience working in 600+ bed facilities
• Medical/Surgical/Telemetry experience required; psychiatric experience preferred
• Pass dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance (2 attempts allowed)
• Pass/fail skills assessment on day 1 of orientation, including SIMs Lab
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Own vehicle for travel to assignment

Facility Details

You'll receive a 2-shift floor-specific orientation. The facility provides navy scrubs and panic buttons. Appearance standards include natural hair color, no facial piercings, and (for male staff) clean-shaven requirement for fit testing.

Assignment Details

This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning June 22, 2026. You'll earn $2,154.96 per week.
