Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, Michigan is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning July 21, 2026, with 3x12-hour night shifts at $2,151.36 weekly.

Role Overview

You will provide direct patient care in a Level I Trauma Center, Stroke Center, Heart Center, and Pediatric Emergency Department. You will treat patients across all age groups—infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics—with patient ratios of 1:4–7 on nights, potentially reaching 1:8 during high-volume periods or holidays. Floating is required, including possible pediatric emergency department float assignments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply 5-level triage system and advanced nursing guidelines to expedite patient care
  • Interpret and manage dysrhythmias
  • Administer continuous IV sedation and procedural sedation as needed
  • Chart using EPIC system
  • Work with no on-call responsibilities

Scheduling

You will work 12-hour night shifts with variable scheduling. Three weekends (Friday through Sunday) per 4-week cycle are required; you may be scheduled for 1, 2, or all 3 days of the weekend. All requested time off must be submitted at the time of assignment submittal—no additional requests will be approved after submission. No time off is permitted during July.

Required Qualifications

  • Current Michigan RN license (compact license not accepted)
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
  • Level I trauma experience
  • EPIC charting experience
  • Current ACLS, BLS (AHA), PALS, TNCC, and NIH certifications
  • Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Triage experience
  • Continuous IV sedation and procedural sedation administration experience
  • ENPC certification
