Occupational Therapy Assistant Job in Kerrville, TX

You will work as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in long-term care at Tide Health Group - Arbor View Nursing and Rehab. This is a temporary position on the day shift, running 5 days per week, 8 hours per day. The assignment is for 91 days, starting May 25, 2026. You will earn $1,670.40 per week.

In this role, you will support patients with cognitive and physical functioning disorders through evidence-based rehabilitative interventions. You will work under the direct supervision and direction of an Occupational Therapist and will be responsible for:

• Administering ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, therapeutic exercises, and modalities
• Assisting with the use of supportive and assistive devices
• Assessing patient progress and communicating findings to your supervising Occupational Therapist
• Reporting treatment outcomes and recommending adjustments to care plans
• Providing consultation to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers
• Documenting all required clinical and regulatory information in the electronic system
• Accurately recording treatment minutes per regulatory and clinical requirements
• Participating in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation meetings
• Completing facility and company required trainings, in-services, and conferences
• Working with your supervising Occupational Therapist to obtain necessary DME and supplies
• Supervising and supporting students under Occupational Therapist guidance

Requirements: You must hold a current COTA license and valid Texas state license. Minimum 1 year of OTA experience is required, along with prior long-term care or rehab experience. You will adhere to all NBCOT/AOTA and state-required practice acts, codes of conduct, and ethics standards.
