Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work in a 14-bed overflow unit accommodating ED boarder patients in a med/surg telemetry setting
• Flex space located within GI Endoscopy area with patient numbers varying based on demand
• Patient ratios: 5:1 during days, 7:1 during nights
• Every other weekend coverage required with 4 weekend shifts per contract
• Float required to ED holding patients
• 12 hours of orientation provided
• Mandatory competency required in phlebotomy and IV placement
• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS
• Required skills: MS/Tele, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, use of Rapid Response/Code teams, peripheral line care/management, nasal cannula, oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management, isolation precautions/PPE
• EPIC charting experience required
• 1 year of nursing experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Dress code: Navy blue/white scrubs
• Care for adult and geriatric patients
• Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, pharmacy, and transportation
• NY license required in hand to submit
• Candidates within 75 miles of facility not accepted
• Pre-start modules required (billable up to 5 hours)
