Cath Lab Technologist - Cath Lab Tech

Job Details:

• Day shift position from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• On-call rotation required per 4 weeks, Friday through Sunday
• Must be flexible with hours to meet departmental needs
• Train to assist physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic invasive cardiovascular procedures
• Train to function in monitoring, scrubbing, or circulating roles
• Work in conjunction with interventional cardiologists, electrophysiologists, and cardiologists
• Maintain sterile technique during all procedures
• Prepare necessary supplies and equipment for procedures
• Transport patients as needed and provide privacy and comfort
• Enter and verify data in cath lab log and complete necessary paperwork
• Assist with maintenance of departmental records and performance improvement
• Minimum 1 year of work experience in a medical setting required
• High School Diploma required; Associates or Bachelor's degree in Health Science preferred
• Basic knowledge of cardiovascular cath or electrophysiology procedures required
• Basic knowledge of electrocardiography, coronary heart disease, and cardiac anatomy preferred
• Basic knowledge of hemodynamics, intracardiac electrograms, and electrophysiology equipment required
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA or ARC) required upon hire; ACLS required within 180 days
