Med Surg RN Job in Albany, GA

You'll work 12-hour night shifts on a Med Surg unit at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, GA. This is a 119-day assignment starting April 21, 2026, with weekly pay of $2,102.40.

Your Role

You'll care for patients with a typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6. You may float to Ortho/Neuro, Oncology, Acute Care, and JFW units, so flexibility with changing assignments during your shift is essential. You'll use MEDITECH for electronic medical records and manage telemetry monitoring across different units. You'll also work with ventilator equipment including BIPAP, CPAP, Vapotherm, and Draeger devices.

Schedule & Requirements

• 3x12-hour night shifts (starting at 6:45 AM)
• Every other weekend requirement
• On-call responsibilities during low census periods
• Rotate holidays with permanent staff
• 12-hour cancellation policy every 2 weeks
• Must work within 75-mile radius rule

Qualifications

• Current RN license
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• 2 years of full-time experience in acute Med Surg
• 1 successful travel assignment in acute Med Surg unit
• BSN not required

What to Expect

You'll receive floor-specific orientation and work with the MEDITECH system. Caribbean blue scrubs are required. You'll interview with Medical Solutions RN prior to placement.
