CVOR Technologist Job in Santa Fe, NM

CHRISTUS St Vincent Regional Medical Center is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to join the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) team. This is a full-time travel position spanning 91 days, starting June 8, 2026.

Position Details:

• Day shift: 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
• Schedule: 5 days per week, 8 hours per day
• Weekend and on-call requirements apply
• Floating to different locations within the facility required
• Weekly pay: $1,452

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program or LVN/LPN program
• Certified Surgical Technologist credential within 180 days of graduation, or current LVN/LPN License
• BLS certification from AHA
• 2 or more years of experience preferred
• Proficiency in scrubbing 3 specialty areas highly preferred, including transplants, open heart, urology, neurology, titanium rib, and robotics

Core Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients for surgery, including skin preparation per hospital standards
• Maintain aseptic technique and monitor for potential breaches
• Transport patients to and from the Operating Room suite
• Position patients according to the type of surgery
• Set up Operating Room tables, instruments, and supplies based on case type
• Establish and maintain a sterile field; pass instruments and sutures to physicians
• Use physician preference cards for case preparation and OR setup
• Maintain proper traffic control, dress codes, and adherence to OR sanitation policies
• Monitor and control the surgical environment with demonstrated competency
• Follow Universal Barrier Precautions for patient and personal safety
